Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 22 September 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses the TransportMatch website and mobile app. By creating an account, posting a job or sending a quote you agree to them.
1. Who we are
TransportMatch B.V., ’T Verdunplein 17, 5726 SZ Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (CoC) number 74554816, VAT NL001103841B50, info@transportmatch.eu, +31 6 22 84 36 30 (“TransportMatch”, “we”, “us”).
2. What TransportMatch is — and is not
TransportMatch is an online marketplace. Customers post transport jobs and carriers quote on them. We are not a transport company and we do not carry out transport ourselves. The transport agreement is concluded between the customer and the carrier. We facilitate the introduction, the communication, the payment and the proof of delivery.
3. Accounts
- You must be 18 or older and provide correct, complete information.
- Carriers register as a company and state their company name and CoC number.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- We may block or delete an account that breaches these terms, provides false information or harms other users or the platform.
4. Posting a job
Posting a job is free. Describe the shipment, the pickup and delivery location and the dates accurately — a quote is based on that description. You may optionally promote a job as ASAP for an additional fee of €2 per listing, paid before the job is published. Promotion fees are non-refundable once the job is published.
5. Quotes and agreement
- A carrier's quote states whether it is including 21% VAT, VAT exempt, or a private price. The quote is binding for the carrier once the customer accepts it.
- A carrier may withdraw or delete a quote that has not been accepted, 30 minutes after posting it at the earliest.
- When the customer accepts a quote, a transport agreement between the customer and the carrier comes into effect and the job is no longer visible to other users.
6. Payment and service fee
- The customer pays the agreed amount through TransportMatch before the transport takes place. The payment is held and is not paid out to the carrier until delivery has been confirmed.
- TransportMatch withholds a service fee from the amount. The fee is shown before you confirm, and the invoice from TransportMatch specifies it.
- The carrier receives the payout to the bank account in their profile, and a weekly invoice listing all trips and how each amount was calculated.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider. Chargebacks, failed payments and disputed transactions may be recovered from the account holder.
7. Carrying out the job
- The carrier performs the transport under their own licences, liability and insurance, and complies with all applicable transport legislation.
- At delivery the carrier uploads at least one photo and has the receiver sign digitally in the app. Without this proof the payout is not released.
- The customer makes sure the shipment is ready, correctly described, legally allowed to be transported, and accessible at the agreed times.
- Prohibited cargo includes anything illegal, dangerous goods without the required licences, live animals unless agreed, and cash or valuables.
8. Communication outside the platform
Until a quote is accepted, contact details — phone numbers, email addresses, full names, company names, street addresses and links — must not be exchanged in the chat and are automatically masked. Deliberately circumventing the platform to arrange a job outside it is a breach of these terms and may lead to blocking of the account and a claim for the missed service fee.
9. Cancellation
- Before a quote is accepted, either side can walk away at no cost, except for a paid promotion.
- After acceptance, cancellations are settled between the customer and the carrier. Where the transport has not been performed, the payment is refunded to the customer minus any costs the carrier has already reasonably incurred.
- Consumers who book a service may have a statutory right of withdrawal; where it applies, it is stated at the time of booking.
10. Reviews and content
Reviews must be honest and relate to the job. We may remove content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or contains contact details. You keep the rights to what you post, and grant us the right to display it on the platform.
11. Liability
TransportMatch is not liable for damage, loss, delay or non-performance of the transport itself — that is the responsibility of the carrier under the applicable transport conditions and their insurance. Our liability towards you is limited to the service fee we received for the job concerned, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform.
12. Disputes between users
Customers and carriers resolve disputes about a job together. We can provide the job record, the chat, the delivery photo and the signature on request, and we may hold a payout while a dispute is being resolved.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the service changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and for significant changes we notify users by email or in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
14. Applicable law
Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district of Oost-Brabant, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
